Community Service Program

| Palos Verdes High School begins another school wide community service program this year. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of charity and service at our school while educating students on various social issues affecting our society. Palos Verdes High School will adopt 3 organizations this year to support though our Pathways For Change Program. As a school, we will help to bring awareness to these issues while contributing our time though service. |
Challenge 1: The Giving Spirit

Challenge #1: collect 2,000 pairs of black, cotton socks by Dec. 9. We are starting the challenge on November 30th.

The Giving Spirit provides aid to vulnerable and fragile lives by assembling and personally distributing survival kits to the children, women and families living on the street. These kits contain over 70 individual items providing sustenance to the homeless in their time of need. Our efforts have personally and positively impact the lives of our volunteers and our homeless friends from Skid Row to Santa Monica. “There is so much in this bag,” a recipient at the Downtown Women's Center told our volunteers. “Everything on my list that I prayed for is in here! How did you know exactly what we need?"
