The PVHS library will officially open for students to use sometime between 8th and Sept 17th. Announcements will be made.

Until then, the library will be open only for textbook pickups and obligation clearances from last school year.

August 24 Fall Registration (see registration packet for library schedule) August 24 through 27 - Textbook pickups.

August 31st, Monday:  Textbook pickup only before and after school (7-8 a.m.; 12 noon to 3:30)

Once the library officially opens to students, hours will be 7 a.m. to 3:30 daily.
Mission
It is the mission of the Palos Verdes High School Library to provide a wide variety of interesting, appropriate and applicable books, periodicals and other media to all students. It is the goal that students will become effective users of information and ideas, and become lifelong, independent, and socially responsible learners.

Flipped, the book by Wendelin Van Draanen

The new movie Flipped, directed by Rob Reiner, is based on the book by Wendelin Van Draanen - available in the library. For more about the movie checkout the Flipped website.

Anyway, there is a Facebook page for the movie, with links to clips and interviews with Rob Reiner, the actors, etc, and this would be a good a place for you to ask why it is not in your town yet.
