Sec 7: College Admission Tests

EXPLORE logoAll 9th grade students will take the EXPLORE (ACT) test on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. as part of College Day.

Test results will be returned to students and parents at the EXPLORE Test Score Give-back Night (date to be announced later). Those unable to attend will be given their test score sheet, test question booklet and EXPLORE booklet "Using Your EXPLORE Results" in their English class.

It is advisable to read the booklet "Using Your EXPLORE Results" carefully to understand the scoring, think about your plans after high school and career possibilities. Your score report will help you build your skills by evaluating each question on the test in the subject areas of reading, English, mathematics and science. If you lose your booklet, it is also accessible at:

Freshman students need not worry about College admission test preparation. It is too early. The EXPLORE test results should be used to measure your high school courses toward College preparation and begin to think about your personal interests and possible career paths.

Students may discuss their EXPLORE results with their counselor during their Freshman Conference when you go over future course planning.
